20-year-old up-and-coming singer, songwriter, and actress, Elle Winter is undoubtedly astonishing. She was born and raised in New York City and was later discovered by Radio Disney at the age of 12. After getting a spot on Radio Disney’s Next Big Thing, she was quickly thrown into a nationwide tour, singing original songs to build a fan base. On February 8, 2019, Winter signed with Red Music (Sony Music Entertainment) after meeting with Tony Bruno to discuss her story and the plans she had for her music.
When Elle was younger, she would go to studio sessions with experienced writers and producers. She would sit there and feel like her stories were not valid enough to share with them. Elle wanted them to lead the way and trusted their judgment immensely. As Winter went into the studio more, she realized that her stories were just as valuable and needed to be shared. Winter gets her inspiration from all the music she grew up listening to, like the Black Eyed Peas. When she was younger she would record karaoke over their cassettes and would perform for anyone who would listen.
On May 17, 2019, Elle Winter released Sick of You, the first single of her upcoming EP set to release this fall. Sick of You, represents the feeling of joy people get when they meet someone that understands who they are. On August 9, 2019, Winter released Cave In, one of her favorite songs from her upcoming EP. It is a reflective song that depicts the story of looking back on a relationship and being thankful that it ended and not having to revisit the past. Cave In discusses the concept of caving in that Winter has been aching to verbalize for a while. Mostly, at the end of relationships, it can be very intriguing to go back to an ex because it feels foreign to be without that person. Winter often saw a myriad of her friends returning to toxic relationships because their ex would plead for another opportunity. This song is considered a thank you to those who are not asking their ex for a second chance at a relationship that was not good for either of them.
Elle Winter is genuinely remarkable; after listening to her music, you won’t remember a day you went without her tunes. Elle hopes that through her music, people to get to know her, and they get to know themselves better. We are so psyched to be apart of Elle Winter’s journey, and hopefully, we see her accomplish all of her goals!
